Hot in East Texas

It's hot here~ but we are use to it. The tiny bit of fall is showing signs and I'm sooooooo ready to feel that first kiss. It finally rained after 5 weeks of false promises. One of those slow, drizzle kind that makes all of nature sigh with relief. I lost another limb off my favorite backyard tree. I hope it isn't trying to die on me. I'm thinkin' of making a page in hope to inspire it to stay strong and keep the shade going for some years to come.

Goodbye to another HOT summer. Fall is welcome at my house. ~..~ vlm

My Guy

I love walking with Rick. The very fact is that we can spend days and days together - never to get bored with each others company. We are definitely 'soul mates'. I look forward to our next hike, no matter where it is. He inspires me to look beyond myself into the world just beyond our view.
I love this guy.

Everyday happiness

Aaaahhhh...The very first hints of fall. It's the reward for suffering through the humid, 100+ degree Texas summer days. We can't wait to go spend a week camping at Lake Ouachita State Park, Arkansas at the 1st of October. The leaves will be turning a little even though it will be too soon for the full show. No matter what - it will be excellent to hang out with my best friend / camping buddy / ultimate fishing guide / husband.

Celton turns 4

It has been a great summer of birthdays. We celebrated with Celton and a large mix of family / friends at MaMaw & PaPaw's house with a bang. I was so happy to find some great pictures of his celebration on my camera. He is such a light in our lives and I'm happy to call him a grand-nephew - grand-kid ;)
This smile made the day.
